![]() Leather shoes are just leather shoes, not Giant Panda leather shoes.ĭidn't think I'd like these, nearly disabled them, but they turned out to be quite interesting. You don't get 50 pages of low quality clothing. Invaders don't drop a lot of junk, Kobolds thieves drop a bag of treasure, which usually contains a few metal bars. Your soap maker(?) can process 10 stone into mineral oil. Mining drops a lot less stone, but a mason can turn 1 boulder into 4 bricks, so you've never a shortage of building materials, but you don't have a huge excess either. The crematorium is so handy, burning vermin corpses / body parts, and creating ash to turn into potash. ![]() Tree farms look good, but I've never had to use them, I can imagine they'd be handy in treeless embarks though. It seemed a refreshing change to actually be able to mass farm Pig Tail for booze and cloth, instead of relying on Plump Helmet. ![]() In Masterwork, armor is simpler, it's just something like padded trousers+metal greaves / padded shirt + metal breastplate / etc.Īll plants can be grown in each season (with an option to make plants grow slower). A military dwarf tantruming is not a good thing. I really don't like armor layering in vanilla, it's completely newb unfriendly, and an oversight in my uniforms gave me my first tantrum spiral. Good topic, I'm still very new to Masterwork, and fairly new to vanilla, so I'm quite interested to hear more experienced players opinions.įrom my experience, Masterwork has some nice perks. ![]()
